Philosophy
Orlando City is to play possession soccer under all circumstances.
We will attempt to set the standard of play, forcing the opponent to adjust to our tempo. Possessing the ball will provide more opportunities to score and less opportunities to get scored on, thus, increasing our chances of winning. We must encourage our players to compete and win games, but never compromise our style. Players must be able to make intelligent decisions on the field that will allow Orlando City to become the best club in Florida, and the nation.
Developing honorable men and women is a vital component inside our philosophy. Players must be able to carry themselves correctly when making it to the professional world, on and off the field. Orlando City will cultivate the necessary skills to mold players to be model citizens and to lead by example at all times. We must develop great players but most importantly, we must develop exceptional human beings.
